Interesting article on the use of Facebook for marketing. While this article is directed towards the Travel Industry, it does offer good insights. What jumped out at me is the high percentage of businesses that DON’T have a formal marketing plan (almost 50%). And they don’t use Facebook Insights to see who their followers are. Facebook Insights is Facebook’s version of Google Analytics. If you don’t know who your followers are, when they are looking at your posts, and what their interests are, you can’t effectively market to them!
